About Zhemgang

Tucked into the dense, biodiverse forests of south-central Bhutan, Zhemgang is among the country's least-developed and least-visited dzongkhags, much of it lying within the Royal Manas National Park's buffer zone. Traditional villages, dense subtropical jungle and rich birdlife — including the rare white-bellied heron — make it a quiet frontier for nature-focused travellers. The Nabji-Korphu trail winds through ancient forest and Khengpa villages largely untouched by tourism.
